Yo! So, that New Years party from a couple weeks back got me thinking.

[Kirikou seems pretty settled, if slightly annoyed, as he pets a Solrock that's decided the perfect place to put its rocky and spiny little self is right in his lap.]

I'm not going to pretend to understand how language in this freakin' place works, or ask anyone else to try and explain it to me because I still won't understand, but I am curious about something.

What kind of language do you speak back home? Anyone speak French or Brazilian Portuguese?

Yeah, that's sorta obvious. So, did you come out of it alright or what?

I'm fine. Humanity may not survive as well, though. Constantly teetering on the edge of getting its free will removed won't be very productive for them.

[fourwayconnection]

...Okay, that? That doesn't sound fine!

If humanity doesn't shape up under its new Messiah, God will take away their free will. So no, it's not fine. I, for one, refuse both of their authorities.

Well, it's good that you don't seem to worship this God or whatever, because seriously? He sounds like a major asshole. What's the deal with this Messiah anyway?

[crouching_sin]

'Asshole' is a good way to describe Him, yes. And the Messiah is supposed to lead humanity into a new age of peace under His rule. As I imagine you've figured out by now, humans don't tend to do well under a cruel dictator who monitors their every move.

...Can you beat him up?

[Okay, that makes him laugh. Give him a few moments.]

That was my plan, before my cousin decided to become the Messiah instead. Unfortunately I don't have the power needed to break down the gates of Heaven.

[It really is.]

The king of demons. ... Who happens to be the Messiah, now.

[So yes and no.]

...Well that's awkward. How does that work anyway?

It's whoever has the power of all of the most powerful demons and is recognized by the King's Gate. Whatever they decide to do with the power... is technically up to them.

Sounds like a tough thing to do... I guess your cousin must be pretty tough. Is he a prick?

[crouching_sin]

... No. He means well enough for everyone... but he's misguided.

What kinda misguided? Does he have no idea what's goin' on?

[crouching_sin]

I mean that more literally - other people have convinced him that this is the best path, and he's decided to listen to them rather than me.

Are they his friends or something?

[crouching_sin]

Some of them were.

Hmm.... That's tough. I mean, I can understand why. Friends are important. It's natural that he'd want to listen to them.

I know. But I grew up with him. I practically raised him at times.

I suppose we'll just have to see what happens.
