Yo! So, that New Years party from a couple weeks back got me thinking.

[Kirikou seems pretty settled, if slightly annoyed, as he pets a Solrock that's decided the perfect place to put its rocky and spiny little self is right in his lap.]

I'm not going to pretend to understand how language in this freakin' place works, or ask anyone else to try and explain it to me because I still won't understand, but I am curious about something.

What kind of language do you speak back home? Anyone speak French or Brazilian Portuguese?

Like what weird animals they have here. You can tell some of them are almost normal, but then others are really not.

They're supposed to be pink, but the one I saw was blue.

You probably will! They're called Ditto. Apparently a lot of breeders have them, but I don't know where you can catch them.

Oh, I've heard of those! But I haven't seen one in person. You said you have one, right?

No, I have a bird. And a raccoon, and one that looks a bit like a bunny.

But i know someone who has one.

No- it's a kind of martial arts, and also a dance! It's from Brazil, where my dad is from.

It's a move you're not supposed to use in normal situations where you go for the eyes! It's a sneaky move, but this rockhead- [He pats his Solrock between its spines.] -tried to get the drop on me so I thought it was really fitting!

He didn't do that, did he?

Yeah- wild pokemon do that sometimes. They don't usually mean anything by it, they're just excited is all.

Well, I mean ... he's not really wild if he's your first one. Right?

Oh, but he's not my first! My first was a giant bird with, like, two heads.

Yeah! And a third head's grown since then too! Their names are Hip, Anna, and Hop! It's been a while since then, so I don't think they'll grow another.
