Song #5 - Video
Yo! So, that New Years party from a couple weeks back got me thinking.
[Kirikou seems pretty settled, if slightly annoyed, as he pets a Solrock that's decided the perfect place to put its rocky and spiny little self is right in his lap.]
I'm not going to pretend to understand how language in this freakin' place works, or ask anyone else to try and explain it to me because I still won't understand, but I am curious about something.
What kind of language do you speak back home? Anyone speak French or Brazilian Portuguese?

IT WAS CLEAR AS CRYSTAL.]
...What language are we speaking now?! I thought we were all speaking Japanese!!
[-- well. He did provide an answer. Kinda sorta not really.]

Dude, I don't know even a tiny bit of Japanese. I mean, I shouldn't. I know English, French, and Portuguese, and that's it.
[Which is pretty impressive for a teenager, admittedly, but no Japanese on there.]

[It would be so freakin' cool if he could say more than a few words in English. DUDE. IMAGINE HOW IMPRESSIVE HE WOULD SOUND.]

[Seriously. He has flunked every single written test he's ever taken. It is a horror show. Ox doesn't know what to do with him.]
I just learned them from my parents- French from my mom, Portuguese from my dad. And, well, I grew up in America, so...

[HE WANTS TO LEARN LANGUAGES FROM HIS PARENTS -- wait a second no. He can technically talk to demons but that hardly counted... And again, Rin displays his phenomenal listening skills.]
Do you have to know all those languages to live in America?

[He bursts out laughing, covering his mouth a bit and pausing in his petting of his Solrock.]
Nah, man, nah. They just need you to know English, and to be honest? They're kinda shitty sometimes if it isn't, like, 100% perfect.

[. . . America, why so confusing. HOW IS THIS FAIR??! HOW IS GONNA LEARN IT NOW?!]

[...Death City? Why does that sound familiar... NOPE, GOTTA FOCUS ON THE IMPORTANT STUFF.]
Missions? What sorta missions? Did you have to kick ass? Since you know so many languages, did they use you as a spy? Didja have a code name?

Oh man, you don't even know the half of it! They have, like, so many burger recipes over there it's freakin' outta this world, and they're all huge! There's some with ribs in them, and others actually use waffles as the bun... The best I ever had was with, like, three different burgers in it. And don't even get me started on all the stuff you can deep fry!
[oh, right, not food stuff, uh-]
Weeeeeeeell, I don't wanna brag about the top secret missions I went on, but I'll tell you I totally kicked major amounts of ass! One time, thanks to partnering up with Azusa- she's top of her class, man- and this chick named Eruka, we were able to shoot a target on the moon.
