I'm not old enough to lose that many jobs! ...I was a student after I missed my last interview. I guess that counts as a job too? What about you?

Student all the way! The DWMA was like a boarding school sort of deal, so I didn't have to worry about much while I was attending.

True Cross Academy was like a boarding school too! Was your school like some underground cover for something else?

Nah, we didn't have a cover. Everyone knows about meisters, witchers, weapons... That kind of thing. Some are just, like... Normal people, I guess, so they try not to get involved.

Although when he was still around, I think Lord Death used to try to make it seem not as scary...

Yeah! We're on different teams, but we've worked together before, and I'm friends with her partner Soul!

[Didn't Maka say that everyone from her home world was made of raging dicks who made her feel like a lesser person? And something about being punched in the face and some stuff about being told a bunch of awful things?

But she did mention a good guy.]

You gotta be one of her good friends! Soul's the weapon right? How'd you become friends with it?

['Good' friends? Must be talking about Black*Star as the 'bad' friend, although he's not particularly surprised. Kirikou gets sidetracked quick enough, grinning at the mention of Soul.]

'Him', man, 'him'! Soul's a dude. And it's easy, me and him are big into music! He's from a family of musicians, actually, he can play the piano.
