Alright, random question for everyone now that Mother Nature is no longer trying to drown all of us with vigor.
[Kirikou is on Olivine's beach as he sends this out onto the network, a Houndoom and a Growlithe flopped over him. Hell yes to being on the beach again.]
If you had types like Pokemon, what would you be?
It's just something that randomly occurred to me while I was waiting out the rain. Me and my friend Maka have already talked about it for ourselves and the people we know.
I figured I was psychic-fighting. Back home, I'd what you'd call the heavy hitter of my team. This relates sorta to my fighting thing, but also to why I'm psychic type or at least I'd say so. See, back home, if you have the right soul and the right know-how, you can resonate your soul with someone else and it makes you stronger. Most people can only do it with one person if the circumstances are right, but there are people with flexible souls who can resonate with anybody and I'm basically one of those types. I can even do it with multiple people- basically one in a billion sort of thing.
[That's a blind estimate. He's just simply never heard of such a thing happening to his extent besides him.]
So.... Yeah, what's your type or what you think it'd be, and why? Let's get some conversation going up here.

I'd think of myself as a Steel or a Fighting type, if I had to choose. But that's what my starter is, too.

It makes me wonder if whatever brings us here can read minds, or see our souls, or whatever.

But I guess it's possible. I can't pretend that I understand what they can do with technology here. To me, though, I think it's more likely that certain types might just be... attracted to us.

But if you have Soul Perception, you can see it while it's still in somebody. My friend Maka is really good at it, along with one of our teachers Stein. They can tell what kind of personality you have, how strong you are when it comes to your soul, where people are, if they're a human or a Witch... Things like that.
It's a Meister thing.

I've heard of higher benders being able to do things like that, but not as much as being able to tell how powerful someone is, or what they're personality is like.

Well, it doesn't matter now anyway honestly. [He shrugs.]

What exactly is a witch, if you don't mind me asking?

Witches are basically magical beings that look pretty human, but aren't. They're still people. [He says that maybe a bit more aggressively than needed.] They're just not human. All that magical energy tends to usually be pretty destructive, or make them want to be destructive. So us and them were against each other for a really long while.
[Uh, what else does he know-]
Their magic tends to latch onto a particular kind of animal, so each witch sort of has their own theme, I guess you could call it. Liiiiike- a tanuki, or a frog.

[So almost kind of like a spirit? Asami doesn't know about this 'magic' stuff.

[That's totally normal, right?]
Well, they used to. When I came here, we had just entered this sort of... truce? Team up? The DWMA couldn't beat a God of Madness on its own even with all our firepower, so we needed their help. I think there's still a lot of talking that needs to happen... But I'm not involved in it. [Shrug]

Basically... Kid has a good head on his shoulders, usually, sometimes, so we should be fine. We already have some witches on our side, so... that should make it go easier, right?

I don't really know what to say, other than 'it's not.' I'm pretty sure Benders just have the ability to extend their chi beyond their bodies, and that's how they can control the elements.
